The House Appropriations Committee is holding a markup hearing today on the Fiscal Year (FY) 2023 appropriations bill, which as drafted includes several Argentum-led priorities such as workforce development grants and dementia research funding, and specific references to report language directing the Biden Administration to address workforce shortages impacting care for seniors.
The Committee included report language led by Argentum, noting that it supports HRSA's efforts to develop the workforce needed to care for the rapidly aging population and encourages workforce education and training programs to meet the needs of seniors.

Argentum Honors Bob White, Longtime Leader in Kentucky Senior Living Industry
Bob White says the third time will be the charm as he nears a summer retirement from his more than decade of service as executive director of the Kentucky Senior Living Association (KSLA). “Third time” refers to the fact White stepped down from leadership roles twice before when he was with Christian Care Communities and chief executive officer of Presbyterian Homes of Kentucky prior to the KSLA job.

HRSA: Non-verified Providers Able to Substantiate Eligibility Status
HRSA recently posted an updated FAQ on the ability for certain providers to submit additional documentation for consideration of Provider Relief Fund (PRF) Phase 4 payments. Argentum has pressed HRSA on the issue of “uncured” applicants and appreciates this change to allow providers that may have been incorrectly denied to be reconsidered for relief.
