Thank you all again for your engagement and extraordinary efforts that helped successfully protect the provider relief funds (PRF) from being repurposed for infrastructure projects. The Senate is currently in the process of considering the bipartisan infrastructure package, and we are remaining vigilant in our effort to protect the PRF as amendments are considered and as the House will consider the package next.
The House is currently on it’s August Recess and the Senate is scheduled to join for its recess beginning next week. During this time, it’s critical for lawmakers to hear directly from their constituents – especially as this recess is expected to be one of the most consequential since the healthcare debate of 2009 with more than $4 trillion at stake in infrastructure negotiations.
Argentum is actively leading discussion on the infrastructure and workforce needs of senior living, and we urge all senior living advocates to join us in these efforts. In this effort, we are in the process of assembling a "recess packet" to be available early next week to help with reaching out to your members of Congress during the recess.
