Release the PRF Campaign: House Sign-on Letter

We are pleased to share that as we continue our campaign to “Release the PRF,” the Senate sign-on letter has officially garnered the support of 50 senators, with Senator Cassidy joining the addendum. We are also pleased to announce that Representatives Abigail Spanberger (D-VA) and Anthony Gonzalez (R-OH) have teamed up again for a companion to the Senate’s sign-on letter. As you may recall, Reps. Spanberger and Gonzalez co-led the letter back in April calling on targeted and equitable relief, and we are thrilled to have their continued support on this latest letter. It is tentatively scheduled to remain open for signatures through this Friday, September 10. Please reach out to House offices asking for their support. Thank you in advance for your help!

CALL TO ACTION: This week we are asking for your help to reach out to your member of the House of Representatives asking them to join the Spanberger-Gonzalez sign-on letter. You may take action through our grassroots campaign portal to directly message your respective lawmaker. We encourage you to personalize these, such as by including specific references to the impact in that lawmaker’s district (communities located in district, seniors served, workforce, losses to date, etc.).

We also encourage you to continue recording short videos (15-30 seconds) of yourself telling the story of your residents and caregivers during COVID-19, how you have worked to keep everyone safe, and why relief is critically needed. We will then share these stories on our social media channels and package them together for the White House and HHS. Please email these videos directly to Dan Samson, director of government relations (dsamson@argentum.org) or Kyle Loeber, manager of public policy (kloeber@argentum.org). See overview video here.

We thank you again for your engagement over the past month. This campaign will continue to push the administration to release the remaining provider relief funds for as long as necessary. Please continue to share our grassroots campaign link with your colleagues, residents, and staff to take action and message their members of Congress, and share the relaunched Standing with Seniors website.
