Argentum is launching a targeted five-week campaign today to urge the Biden administration to release the remaining provider relief funds (PRF) as expeditiously as possible (see press release). The campaign is intended to increase pressure on the White House, which has full authority to release the PRF, through direct outreach to the administration, grassroots engagement, strategic media placements, and congressional support. Each week of the campaign will feature a different theme and will ask for active engagement among everyone in the senior living industry to ensure our message is amplified as loud as possible.
Argentum is committed to doing everything possible to get these funds released to providers, and led an unprecedented effort last month to protect the funds from being re-purposed as part of the bipartisan infrastructure package negotiations. After securing bipartisan support to protect the funds, and with the Senate's passage of the package yesterday, we have shifted our message to “Release the PRF.”
Yesterday, Argentum joined with AHCA/NCAL, ASHA, and LeadingAge to jointly send a letter to President Biden, HHS Secretary Becerra, and HHS Deputy Secretary Palm urging for the immediate release of the remaining provider relief funds to long-term care providers. We stressed that providers have been anticipating the Phase 4 relief payments for months, and directed the Administration to make funds available in full and as quickly as possible.
We are calling on all Argentum Advocates to join us in the campaign! The White House has full authority to release the PRF, but we need them to hear from senior living advocates—both directly and indirectly—on the urgent need to release these funds. For the next five weeks, we will be asking you to join us in amplifying our direct outreach to the administration, grassroots engagement, strategic media placements, and Congressional support.
August Campaign: Release the Provider Relief Fund
This week, we are asking you to join us in sending messages directly to the administration and Congress through our grassroots platform. Pre-written messages are available and it takes less than a minute to contact these policymakers – all you have to do is input your address. We encourage you to forward these to your colleagues.
We greatly appreciate your continued involvement in our advocacy efforts as we work to finally secure this much needed relief for frontline senior living caregivers.
